I purchased the helmet as a back up to ride within the city. I has worked very well. The Bluetooth and mesh work as described. Volume is a bit low and fades away at around 60 miles per hour. Good quality and lightweight.

A great ride starts with the right fit. Measure your head, then match your circumference to the chart.
How to measure

- Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Read your head circumference.
- Compare your measurement with the size ranges in the chart.

| S | 54 - 56 | 21.25 - 22.04 |

Frequently asked questions
Is the Bluetooth headset included with the K1?
Yes. Your K1 includes the headset option you select when ordering. Choose Bluetooth or Bluetooth + Intercom on the product page.
What's the difference between Bluetooth and Bluetooth + Intercom?
Bluetooth connects to your phone for music, calls, and GPS audio.
Bluetooth + Intercom adds direct communication for 2–8 riders, alongside those phone features. Choose the intercom option if you want to talk with a passenger or riding group.
Can I talk to my passenger or other riders?
Yes, with the Bluetooth + Intercom option. Your passenger or fellow riders need the same intercom model to connect directly. They do not need to wear a K1 helmet.
The Bluetooth-only option connects to your phone and does not provide direct rider-to-rider intercom.
Will the intercom connect to Sena or Cardo?
The included intercom option does not pair directly with Sena, Cardo, or other intercom brands for rider-to-rider communication. It connects with the same intercom model. Check that everyone in your group uses compatible units before ordering.
How do I choose the right K1 size?
Measure your head circumference with a soft tape just above your eyebrows and ears, then compare it with the K1 size chart.
Use your measurement rather than the size of a different helmet brand.
What if my helmet doesn't fit?
Contact us at support@gear-rider.com with your order number and fit concern. We offer a free different-size liner to help adjust the fit.
For returns or exchanges, check our return policy and contact us before sending anything back. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility under the standard policy.
Does the K1 meet DOT safety standards?
Yes. The K1 meets DOT safety standards.
Which visors are included?
The K1 has an inner sun visor and an outer visor. The outer visor color depends on the option you select.
Use a clear outer visor for night riding and low-light conditions.
Can I wear prescription glasses with the K1?
Yes, the K1 can be worn with prescription glasses. It does not have dedicated glasses channels, so comfort depends on your frame shape and helmet fit.
How long does shipping take, and can I track my order?
Shipping is free. Delivery timing depends on your location, stock availability, and the dispatch warehouse. See our shipping page for current delivery estimates.
You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 460 reviews.
I just received a couple weeks back, outside material looks lightweight or a kind of cheap, but is not an expensive one, inside is very comfortable, better than expectations, riding with it...more than great, aerodynamics.... great, intercom system... great, very easy to use, no more than a minute to control it, great service, I sent an email with a couple of questions, no more than 2 hours with the answers, great
Although the Bluetooth clip broke in shipping the company got back to me same day when I reached out and got a replacement ordered for me. It was great in the heat to be able to flip the front up while keeping the helmet on and just flipping the tinted visor down.
Great for the price. Was very surprised how comfortable the helmet was. Obviously t h e plastic isn't the best quality but for the price its worth it. Oh and the speakers are decently loud.
I got this modular Bluetooth helmet for my boyfriend and definitely recommend it, he’s typically a size medium, but it was a little too big for him and they sent a complementary smaller liner. They’re on top of communication and as soon as I reached out to them with this problem, they immediately responded with the resolution. I’d recommend them any day of the week to anyone who rides.
K1 Item was received quickly and was packaged correctly. It seemed to be charged out of the box. Fits correctly and connects to Bluetooth without issue.
Very Great the quality is amazing! I love the tinted visor I have and the way the Bluetooth works!!
Great helmet I cant wait to break it in so it will fit perfectly. The only issue is have is. I wish the inner visor came down further. The gap is too wide for my liking. Other than that. The helmet is perfect. The visors are exceptionally clear.
My review is on the Speedster. This helmet is awesome. No noise problem at high speed. The Bluetooth is great. No problem at high speeds. My glasses and ears remain unpinched. It took a while to get it here but it’s worth the wait.
Best company I have ever dealt with My wife and I both order helmet. She got a large and I got an extra large. The sizes ran a little Big so they sent me two replacement liners. I dropped my helmet one time and one of the clips for the visor broke and they sent me a replacement clip. I have had nothing but great experience with this company and customer service the helmet itself is awesome. Very comfortable. The music for the intercom could be a little louder. But other than that, I’ll probably never try another hand again because the price is half the price of all these Big brand names and just as good in my opinion if not better.
The best helmet yet This helmet surpassed my expectations. Fits well, works great for calls when riding. Could not be happier.
The helmet came with 2 different lens that helps with different day light brightness. Also came with inter communication and bluetooth that is rechargeable. Everything needed for the ride in company of family or friends
Exactly as advertised Amazing helmet that came exactly as advertised. Good quality sound and mic. Easy Bluetooth connection.
Amazing helmet I happened to get into a crash shortly after getting the helmet and it did its job and kept me from getting a concussion when I went over my bars. Overall comfortable and the Bluetooth is an amazing feature.
Great Helmet Very nice helmet. Comfortable to wear long term. Love the blue tooth features. The speakers have awesome sound. I also like the different visor options. Would definitely purchase again.
K1 Modular Bought the K1 Modular helmet with the Bluetooth a couple weeks ago. Great fit for a online purchase. Helmet is light weight but feels very protective. Love the flip down tinted shield. Haven't had a chance to test the headset while riding but it's very clear when I tested it. Very happy with my purchase. 👍🏾👍🏾 FYI, Matte black is the original color. I painted it Blue
Well pleased Helmet is top quality for half price of a dealer
K1 review Took it on a ride today , for the price point the helmet is good , sound is ok
Helmet I went by the measurements they said to, i could have sized down 1 size its a little loose. The helmet looks good and is light. Makes a little road noise though.
Nice Gooo
Great helmet This is a great helmet. It fits well, is very comfortable, has good visibility, and the Bluetooth system is great. It connects to my phone easily and has his sound output. I would definitely recommend this helmet! Also Gear-Ride was easy to order from. I appreciate the tracking option for my order. And all the reviews are really helpful in making a choice of product to buy.
Great helmet I love the helmet and being able to listen to music while riding my bike it’s great!
The helmet’s overall look and design are decent, but the visor scratches far too easily—just a few rides and it already shows marks. The included Bluetooth microphone and headset have weak noise isolation, making conversations noisy and leaving zero privacy. I truly hope future versions improve durability and sound insulation so the product matches its promising appearance.
I decided to take a risk on this one with the price point being so low I was expecting much worse but was pleasantly surprised with the quality and the bluetooth capability. Had it for over a month now and the battery still on its first charge. Dual visor is nice for extra sunny days and the black visor still has good visibility when the sun gets low. 10/10 would recommend, plan on getting another one for my fiance soon!
First Full Face First time I've tried a full face helmet in many years. It is much better fit , and sound quality than I expected from a helmet in this price range , easy to link Bluetooth than I imagined Overall a really good helmet
One of the best helmets I have used. The Gear Rider Modular Helmet is hands down one of the best values on the market. What really sets it apart for me is how lightweight it feels while still being solid and dependable. Long rides are much more comfortable because it doesn’t weigh you down. The built-in Bluetooth is a game-changer—crystal-clear audio for calls and music, and it connects seamlessly without having to mess with extra gadgets. The drop-down visor is another feature I love. It’s quick, convenient, and makes riding in different light conditions so much easier. Considering all of these features, the price makes it an incredible deal. You’re getting comfort, convenience, and quality all in one helmet. I’ve owned and tried a number of helmets over the years, but this one stands out as one of the very best. If you’re looking for a helmet that combines value, comfort, and smart features, the Gear Rider Modular Helmet is the way to go
K1 modular helmet Love this helmet fits well and looks good
Love the design, sleekness and detail on this helmet. Great price , think they fit big, I ordered a small it’s huge feels more like medium/large maybe. And I can’t send it back and exchange it for a different size with out paying shipping so that’s unfortunate.
Helmet replacement Had a couple of issues with the helmet so the company replaced it there great to do business with
Awesome The helmet is super comfortable and I love the Bluetooth works perfect.
Happy Buyer Love this helmet fix’s excellent on my head, the ventilation is on point and I can hear my music playing from the headset. I love the color and planning to purchase another one soon.
It’s a small and fits her really well. We are now ready to roll. She did say it’s a bit heavy for her so next time we will try to buy a lighter weight one.
K1 Modular Old school helmets are great.. but this is a game changer… music while I ride 1000% changes the whole experience… Thanks for a great product.
K1 WORKS GREAT
My head is ok after landing face first goin 20-35 mph
Crash tested Helmet works great, I crashed last night and landed face first on the pavement, didn't even realize until I took my helmet off and looked at it
Modular Helmet Helmet is perfect! The Bluetooth I am not that happy with answered a call while bike was in motion at 55 mph and the caller could not hear me talking , but other than that helmet is solid
I honestly think the helmet looks awesome and has a lot of great features! The downside is the shipping takes a long time and also because of where it was advertised I thought this was an American made product with standard American sizing for helmets and I was way off. I do take some blame for not measuring my head before making the purchase. With all full face helmets I’ve purchased over the last 20 years I have always been able to wear a medium and have it be a nice snug fit. This medium is too loose and I should’ve purchased a small. Once again, I do feel like I’m partially to blame.
This helmet is the definition of perfect It changed my ride from boring a to b, to an adventure with music and the ability to talk on the phone. I will 100% be purchasing another helmet but the next one is gonna have the com system in it Thanks gear rider for offering quality without breaking the bank
K1 Modular Helmet The helmets are great we just thought we'd be able to Bluetooth each other and we can't just our phones..
